We are delighted to be able to advertise for additional Teaching Assistants to join the team at Discovery Primary Academy. The new Teaching Assistants will be required to support specific individuals with a range of specific needs starting with us in September 2023. Our recent Ofsted inspection recognises that, “pupils who need extra support benefit from the swift and effective response of adults to their needs. However long or short their time is at this school; pupils are proud of the progress they make.”

Discovery Primary Academy joined the Four Cs Multi Academy Trust (MAT) in September 2018 and proud to be part of the Trust which we joined in September 2018. It is an exciting time to be joining our team at Discovery as the MAT grows as all schools, academies and colleges in the MAT have a common interest in improving the standards for children in Peterborough. The Trust’s vision is to ensure that every child succeeds; builds on what learners already know; making vivid and real; make learning an enjoyable experience; and enrich students’ learning experience.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who have:

• Experience of working with individuals and groups of children in class, including those with additional educational needs to help them achieve to the best of their ability.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience of delivering support programmes for specific individuals

• Positive and enthusiastic
• Teaching Assistants who are calm and flexible
• Teaching Assistants who are reliable, resilient, and able to take the initiative.
