Start Date: 1st September 2025Discovery Primary Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Officer to play a vital role in supporting our pupils, families, and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and inclusive academy environment.

About the Role:
As our Inclusion Officer, you will work closely with the SENDCo, DSL, senior leadership team, class teachers, and external agencies to ensure all children—particularly those with additional needs—receive the support they need to thrive. Your role will be central in coordinating and supporting:- Disability Living Allowance (DLA) Applications: Supporting families in completing and submitting applications with accuracy and care.
- Attendance Monitoring: Working with pupils and families to improve attendance and engagement.
- Early Help Assessments (EHAs): Coordinating Early Help processes to provide targeted family support.
- Assess, Plan, Do, Review (APDR) Cycle: Supporting our SENCo with supporting teachers and staff in implementing and reviewing individual support plans for pupils with SEND.
- Teacher Resource Support: Assisting staff with appropriate strategies, tools, and resources to meet diverse pupil needs in the classroom.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
✅ Experience working in a school or community setting with children and families
✅ Knowledge of SEND processes and inclusive practice
✅ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
✅ Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
